Hannah and Emma Foster E-pattern

The Foster Sisters sampler has a joyful, naïve quality with flowering plants, birds, spotted dogs, and a large red house replete with smoking chimneys.  But the stars of this sampler are dark-haired, dark-eyed Hannah and her younger sister, blonde-haired, blue-eyed Emma.  Worked below the house is this heartfelt verse from an old hymn:

Yonders my house and portion fair

My treasure and my heart are there

And my abiding home

All stitches are cross stitch.  The verse, names, and birthdates are worked over 1 thread of linen.  The remainder of the sampler is worked over 2 threads. 

The reproduction is stitched on 36 count R&R Reproductions “Stars Hollow” linen with DMC threads.  Pattern includes color photo, professional cross stitch chart with floss colors and optional instructions for aging and hemming your finished work.
