~~ An Antique Reproduction ~~

Among the charming motifs Miss Haden chose to accompany her bible verse are figures of a man and woman holding hands, a pair of birds perched upon a tree, and a stag and squirrel tethered with golden chains.  The verse is from Ecclesiasticus 11:7 (King James Version).  Although the last two digits of the year have been removed, her sampler likely dates from the early to mid-19th century.

Stitched on 36 count R&R Reproductions Olde Town Blend linen using DMC threads.  Stitches include cross stitch over one and two as well as French knots and a tiny bit of back stitching.  Pattern includes color photo, professional cross stitch chart, and DMC thread colors.  Optional instructions for aging your work are included.
