Except This Posey

Enamored with old sampler verses as well as Fraktur motifs, I’ve created two miniature stitcheries that combine both elements.  The sampler reads, “Except this posey from a Friend whose Love will never end.”  The misspelling is intentional, in keeping with that on a c. 1819 sampler. 

Using elements from the same pattern, I also created a wee “Friend” pinkeep.

Originals were stitched on 32 count linen and feature a combination of one over one and one over two stitches.

Finished size: 3.5"w x 4.75"h
 
Stitch count for pinkeep: 54w x 32h
Finished size: 4"w x 2"h
 
Pattern includes color photo, professional cross stitch charts for both projects, DMC floss colors, optional aging instructions, and directions for making the pinkeep.
