~~ An Antique Reproduction ~~
Who can resist the bright and cheerful colors in Ann Barlow’s sweet, little sampler? They remind me of some of my favorite garden flowers – zinnias, marigolds, and catmint. Ann worked her little garden of flowers and fruits in fine wool threads. For the reproduction, I’ve chosen cotton threads by Weeks Dye Works and DMC.
Stitched on Weeks Dye Works 30 count “Straw” linen with a combination of WDW and DMC threads. Worked entirely in cross stitch with the exception of a single straight stitch. Stitch count: 168w x 164h. Finished size: 11.25”w x 11”h.
Pattern includes color photo, professional cross stitch chart, floss colors including DMC alternates for the WDW threads, and instructions for hemming your sampler.
