A folky spot motif pattern for a sampler pillow that works up quickly. Motifs include Fancey Blackett gathering morels by the light of a silvery sliver of moon, a sprinkling of stars, an owl, cat, garden shears, Fancey’s initials (in the Quaker style) and the year 1792. Stitched in the muted, shadowy colors of a moonlit night using DMC threads on 35 count Confederate Gray linen from Weeks Dye Works. Stitch count: 153w x 92h. Stitched size: 8.75”w x 5.25”h. Finished pillow size: 9.25”w x 5.75”h.
