Mrs. Toombs was inspired by a beloved character (Mrs. Todd) from Sara Orne Jewett’s, “Country of the Pointed Firs”. A learned herbalist, she carries her corduroy bag containing dried grass and a muslin sack filled with her particular dried herbs. She has little rusty bells on her shoes to shoo the toads off the forest path as she hurries past. Approximately 22”h.
