Once your summer blooming baskets are done, fill them with a nest of grass and pile on tiny white pumpkins or gourds.

Cornstalks are always tied to the porch come October.  What pleasure listen to them rustle in the breeze!

A basket full of dried gourds (love their mellow colors) and scented geranium (atop the bench).  My favorite is “Old Fashioned Rose”.  Impatiens still bloom on the sheltered porch.
